Common Issues

Find solutions to common issues with NotifyMe. Browse the topics below for step-by-step troubleshooting instructions and guidance on resolving frequently encountered problems.
NOTE
Instructions may vary depending on your device, operating system, app version, or other settings. Some steps or options may look different on your device.

1. TikTok Audience Controls#

If your TikTok account has Audience Controls enabled, NotifyMe cannot detect your content. You may still add the account to NotifyMe, but you will not receive notifications from it while Audience Controls are enabled.
When adding an account with Audience Controls enabled, NotifyMe will display a warning. The account will still be added, but a warning icon will appear next to it.

Once you're in, navigate to the Profile tab using the buttons at the bottom of your screen.
After that, tap the ☰ button in the top right to open the Additional Options menu.

4

The warning icon should now disappear.

6
You're Done!
Your content can now be detected, and NotifyMe will send notifications for videos and livestreams.

WARNING
What happens if I turn Audience Controls back on?
If you re-enable Audience Controls after adding your account, NotifyMe will stop detecting new videos and livestreams from that account.

Still Having Trouble?
If notifications are still not working after following the steps above, something else may be preventing NotifyMe from detecting your content.
Feel free to reach out in our Support Server, and we'll be happy to help you.

2. Locked Channels#

If a lock icon appears next to a channel when selecting where NotifyMe should send notifications, the bot is missing one or more required permissions for that channel.
The channel cannot be selected until the required permissions have been granted.

Follow the step-by-step guide below to grant all required permissions for NotifyMe.
Configure Channel Permissions

Still Having Trouble?
If the channel is still locked after granting the required permissions, double-check that the permissions were given for the correct channel and that NotifyMe's role isn't being overridden by another permission.
Feel free to reach out in our Support Server, and we'll be happy to help you.

3. TikTok 18+ Livestreams#

If your TikTok account has 18+ only enabled for livestreams, NotifyMe cannot send livestream notifications for that account.
Your account can still be added successfully, and video notifications will continue to work normally. Only livestream notifications are affected while the 18+ restriction is enabled.
Follow the steps below to disable the 18+ livestream restriction.
1
Open TikTok
Open the TikTok app and tap the + button at the bottom of your screen.
Swipe to LIVE as if you were about to start a livestream.
