The "Force Notification" feature lets you manually trigger a notification for a specific video or livestream.
Unlike the Test Notification feature, which always uses the latest content, this feature lets you pick exactly what gets sent, making it ideal for catching up on anything the bot may have missed. The bot missed a notification while it was offline or being set up
The bot was added to your server after a video was already published or a stream had already started
You want to re-send a notification for a specific piece of content
How to Send a Force Notification#
On the dashboard, find the channel you want and click the "Force Notification" button.A popup will appear with two fields:1.
Content Type — Select whether the content is a Video or a Livestream
2.
Content Link — Paste the link to the specific video or stream you want to notify about
⚠️ The URL must be a valid video or livestream from that specific channel.
Links from other channels or unsupported formats will not work.
Once you've filled in both fields, confirm and NotifyMe will send the notification to your Discord channel exactly as it normally would, with all your custom message, embed, tags, and role pings applied.
If Something Goes Wrong#
Just like with Test Notification, if the notification fails you'll see a red error box on the website. The most likely culprit is missing bot permissions. Check the Permissions Guide to make sure everything is configured correctly. Modified at 2026-05-28 21:55:42
